Join Rachel Kann for an immersive experience of new/ancient ritual, chanting and meditation in a *feel-free environment* (as put forth by Capt Reb Eric Wallach) of *non-enforced participation.*
This event is Free!
This is a Shabbat experience for all, followed by Kiddush. (A sponsored lunch.)
It’s for all people from all religious (or non-religious) / spiritual (or non-spiritual) / gender (or post-gender) / ethnic / cultural backgrounds. Realize Paradise is devoted to inclusivity.
It doesn’t matter who you are, or what you do (or do not) believe in.
You are welcome to create the experience you need to have. Bring a pillow or yoga mat and get comfortable. (There will be chairs and mats available as well.)
Rachel endeavors to hold space wherein you are safe and welcome to chant or not chant, pray or not pray, meditate, dance, lie down, sit up, stand, close your eyes, keep them open…you get the idea…feel free!
All is permitted as long as it is respectful of the emotional, spiritual and physical space of others.
PLEASE KEEP READING!
Due to security concerns, getting to the chapel is a bit…elaborate. But you can do it! I hope you will be brave and flexible, because the experience will be worth it.
***If you have any sort of accessibility issues, PLEASE do not hesitate to message Rachel so she can easily make alternate arrangements to assist you in entering conveniently.***
Please accept Rachel’s apology for this current challenge. These are the times we live in. Slightly complicated entry instructions below:
Please enter on Main Street.
The Mishkon Tephilo main entrance is at:
206 Main Street, Venice, CA 90291.
From there, you will walk through the sanctuary, where there will be a service going on.
Walk all the way down the aisle, out the back door, and you will find yourself on a patio.
Then walk up the ramp across from you. Enter the building and walk through the small room into the hall.
Take a left and walk a short distance down the hall to the chapel. It will be the last door on your left and you will see folks gathered and ready for you to join us.
THANK YOU! Your solidarity and sweet presence are gifts.
